Hi my name is Dorothy Jackson


I have always tried to keep reasonably fit and healthy and over the years I tried many different types of exercise

but never find one that held my interest for long.


In 2001 a friend told me about a women’s development course taking place at work and she convinced me to go with her. I didn't expect to get much out of it but, a) It was free and b) I got time away from my very stressful job, so what the heck?


It turned out to be a great course and I was introduced to some books on positive thinking and self help. These helped me get to grips with the stress I was under at work . Nearly all the books recommended yoga and meditation so I booked myself into a yoga class.


To my surprise I felt great afterwards and got the best night's sleep I'd had in a long time. The next day it dawned on me that yoga was the exercise I had been looking for all my life. This was because it's not just about physical fitness but also about relaxing the body and calming the mind.


After a few years of practice I decided I wanted to pass this experience on to others so decided to become a yoga teacher. I did my training with Relaxologies Yoga School and am a qualified Akhanda yoga teacher. I am also a trained meditation teacher, stress consultant and spiritual coach.
